Election Campaigns
Art Direction / Design @ Bellweather Agency
From 2022 to 2024, Kip Helton served as Art Director for NYC Votes, overseeing creative for three consecutive civic engagement campaigns for the NYC Campaign Finance Board. Each campaign was developed with visual flexibility in mind, allowing the system to evolve year over year while remaining cohesive across platforms and audiences. The campaigns were designed to connect with New Yorkers in nine different languages: Bengali, Chinese, English, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, and Arabic.
The work spanned out-of-home, digital, social, video, and the official NYC Voter Guide. The campaigns prioritized accessibility, trust, and relevance by meeting communities where they are and encouraging meaningful participation in local elections.
